About Stephanie
Stephanie Welt, MSW, MSHRM
With a decade in HR and recruiting plus a background in psychotherapy, I
understand both the human side of career transitions and the hard realities
of what hiring managers actually want. That combination is rare, and it's
exactly what mid-career professionals need when they're ready to level up.
From burnout to breakthrough
I earned my MSW from The Ohio State University and worked as a
psychotherapist until burnout hit. Hard. So I went back to school for my
Master's in Human Resource Management at Webster University, determined to
be on the constructive side of how organizations treat their people.
After grad school, I might have been the last person in my cohort to land a
placement. Less than six months later, I was top 10 in the entire company. I
pitched my boss on a new recruiting approach, trained my team on it, then
scaled it company-wide. They still use my methods today.
What I bring to the table
I've spent a decade in human resources and recruiting across Fortune 500
companies, healthcare organizations, and tech and construction firms. I
understand strategy, compliance, onboarding, and performance management.
Most importantly, I've sat on both sides of the table: I know what gets you
hired, what gets you promoted, and what holds you back.
Whether you're negotiating your first six-figure offer, pivoting industries,
or finally ready to advocate for yourself, I help you see around corners and
cut through the noise of today's job market with strategies that actually work.
Why I do this
My favorite part of recruiting has always been calling someone to tell them
they got the job. The excitement, the relief, the possibility in that moment
never gets old.
Now I get to do that for you, but instead of one role, I help you build a
career trajectory that fits who you actually are and where you're genuinely
headed.
